ACS Launches its ACR83 PINeasy Smart Card Reader

In Hong Kong – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 8210; www.acs.com.hk), Asia Pacific’s number one supplier of PC-Linked smart card readers (Source: Research report issued by Frost & Sullivan), brings you the ACR83 PINeasy Smart Card Reader, a PC-linked USB reader featuring a keypad and display.

Portable and Easy-to-use
Fitting on the palm of your hand, the ACR83 PIN easy is one of the smallest PIN-pad reader in the market. To authenticate yourself, all you have to do is to connect the reader to a USB port of the PC, insert the smart card, follow the command on the LCD and enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number).

Secure
ACR83 PINeasy supports Secure PIN Entry (SPE). The PIN is entered on its keypad secure and then authenticated within the device. Since the PIN is entered into the secure ACR83 PINeasy rather than the vulnerable PC or work station, the possibility that a Virus/ Trojan or USB Sniffer gets hold on the PIN is eliminated.

Compliant with Major International Standards
