As one of the companies at the forefront of the smart card revolution worldwide, ACS expressed its take on the career opportunities in the smart card industry in an interview with Classified Post, a well-known Asian newspaper focused on recruitment and career.
Denny Wong, Chairman and CEO of ACS, is optimistic towards the smart card industry, especially on the increasing popularity of national ID cards and contactless payment that have created big job opportunities. "In the past two years, we have never stopped hiring engineers. We have also hired sales and marketing people for our offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Manila in order to cope with the growth of our business," he added. For his part, Andrew Chan, an assistant project manager in ACS, shared about his job responsibilities and work experience in the company. According to him, the critical criterion for being a successful engineer is, nevertheless, to keep a lifelong learning drive!
